Today I’m diving in and working on some of the bits and bobs I’m planning for our Craftonite table at Felt Club… less than two weeks away… eep! I’ve dipped into inspiration from last Christmas because I want to make some sweet ornament/ trinketey bits and bobs that will make joyful holiday decorations as well as be simply sweet for use year round. I’ve developed my own method of ad hoc holiday decoration that mixes “real” ornaments with whatever makes me happy at the moment. Because in my opinion that’s the point, to turn up the volume on joy and whatever triggers that in your household. So I’ve been known to hang earrings that bring back great memories from pre-teenhood on my little tree. Last year I was going nuts with the idea of planetary orbs and I’m still feeling them…. I’ve no idea what that will channel into once the bits and bobs are made and done, but I’ll start with visions of happy spacemen, pet snails, planets raining like shooting stars and all the joy…
