I greet you on this Tuesday with a brief post and a swatch photo!
I must say, swatching with Koigu Kersti Merino Crepe is so yummy. It’s a great yarn for showing stitch definition. I spent several evenings on the couch playing at finding various fun and simple stitch combos that build on each other to make simple strips of crocheted fabric. Exactly how to use these strips? I’ve got some schemes, but nothing certain beyond skinny scarves and draping them in my office for decoration. I will keep you posted though because there’s something to be said for these sorts of projects, they’re fun and fly from your fingers…

Today is my birthday! This year it really has a “New Year’s day” kind of feel to it. It’s my first day home alone since last week and I’m relishing just being alone and left to my own musings. I just decided my main effort for today will be doing some more work on cleaning up/ sprucing up my office space. I’ve got a herd of sweet little glass yogurt jars just waiting to become a fun little storage system for beads and bits and bobs. TNNA was a whirlwind, but I’ve also got pictures and such from way back in November to post and share. More to come…
A look at a recent piece in progress. I can’t show you the finished product, but I can pretty much promise it ends up looking different than you are imagining seeing it laying there. It grew and buckled and folded into something really unique and satisfying. I’m hoping to take a hint from my own creative work and relax and enjoy as my life folds and buckles into new directions, no idea how it will look in the end.
